Lancashire Life

Lancashire Life is part of the 50-strong Archant Life portfolio of up-market glossy county magazines.
It is Britain's biggest-selling county magazine and was named Regional Magazine of the Year 2007 by the Newspaper Society.
As well as celebrating record-breaking circulation figures, the title is also celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
But it certainly hasn’t become a relic of former times. Instead, it is at the forefront of modern page design and packed with everything from interesting interviews and features, to society photographs, fashion and food.
Its website has also been given a stylish new revamp which is now being rolled out across all the division’s county titles.
The new-look website is complementary to the magazine and offers interactive features such as discussion forums and gives readers the chance to see social event photos which fall surplus to the print edition.
A sister title, Pure Lancashire, was also launched last year to appeal to a new, younger audience and together they have the county covered.
Both magazines are produced from Archant Life’s recently refurbished offices in Preston under the expert leadership of former Evening Press editor and Newsquest MD, Liz Page.
High profile editor Roger Borrell, former editor-in chief of Trinity Mirror’s Midlands division, was last year recruited to edit Lancashire Life.
Meanwhile Paul Mackenzie, previous news editor on the Gazette in Blackpool, is the editor of Pure Lancashire.
