The perfect marriage as Archant Life buys wedding
Archant Life magazines announced in July the acquisition of Wedding Link Ltd, publishers of Cheshire Bride magazine and organisers of the prestigious Wedding Show at Tatton Park.
Established for 11 years, Cheshire Bride is a glossy annual publication with a 30,000 print run. It is on sale throughout the North-West and is distributed at the company’s exhibitions. The Wedding Show each January is the county’s market-leading event, attracting thousands of visitors from across the region and further afield. Wedding Link also stages a series of wedding exhibitions in hotels across Cheshire from autumn to spring each year.
Current owners Kevin and Liz Quartermaine will remain on a consultancy basis during a handover period to Archant Life. Wedding Link is based in modern offices in Macclesfield, where it will be business as usual. The company’s three staff join Archant Life with immediate effect.
‘We delighted to be taking over such a successful business, built up thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Quartermaines and their staff,’ said Liz Page, Archant Life North’s regional managing director. ‘The business is a perfect fit with our other titles in Cheshire and we look forward to working with the staff to develop it further.’
Archant Life also publishes the market-leading Cheshire Life magazine and its sister title Pure Cheshire. The company acquired Living Edge magazine, based in Hale, earlier this year. Living Edge has since been relaunched as a free upmarket glossy delivered to 20,000 homes. Archant Life also publishes the regional title Pure Weddings three times a year.
Archant Life is the country’s leading publisher of county magazines, with around 50 titles stretching from Kent to Cumbria.
